An Apple a Day…

An apple a day keeps the doctor away…

We’ve all heard this saying many times haven’t we?

Maybe your parents or your grandparents used to say it to you when you were a child.

Whenever you heard it, what if it was actually true?

Of course, we know by just eating one apple a day and neglecting everything else that promotes good health is unlikely to help but the beauty is in the concept.

It’s so easy to eat an apple a day.

Just as easy as it is to not eat an apple a day.

Now some of you seem to be prescribing to the philosophy of ” A chocolate bar a day”

Maybe you were taught the saying incorrectly when you were young, I don’t know really but somewhere along the journey of life wires were crossed…

…It’s an apple a day, not a chocolate bar a day 🙂

But this is where consistency counts.

If you eat a chocolate bar a day for a week then nothing negative will happen.

If you eat one per day for several months, its unlikely to add up to much either but if you keep this habit up for a year or longer, that’s when the law of compounding takes place.

Any negative habit you have in life (and we are all have them, yes even me) performed consistently over a few years can leave you with devastating consequences, often irreversible.

The flip side to this is that exactly the same happens when you perform a positive habit daily for several years.

An apple a day…

In bed at 10pm each day…

Reading 10 pages of a good book every day…

…and any other positive activity you can think.

Why so many people struggle with so many things in life is the simple law of compounding.

I’m sure the majority of you reading this are great with your finances.

I’ve always been great at earning money.

My problem lies in the fact that I’m even better at spending it!

^^yea, I’m working on it.

Yes, I heard you. I’m working on it OK? 🙂

A little money saved consistently over time can lead you financial freedom and being a millionaire in 25 years or so…

It’s exactly the same with your health, fitness and every single area of your life.

Are your daily habits going to produce millionaire results in 25 years?

What can you do TODAY to change the outcome tomorrow?

Small, consistent habits, performed daily over a number of years leads to phenomenal results.

The opposite of this is “a few small errors in judgement practiced every day leads to devastating results”

Be one of the ones who eats an apple every day and not the chocolate bar.

One of the best books I’ve read on this is “The Compound Effect” by Darren Hardy.

Get on Amazon and check it out.

That’s all for now folks 🙂
